February 6 – April 26, 2020
The exhibition shows visitors a usually invisible part of our society that is unknown to the general public in the form of a museum presentation. The collected artefacts and life stories of the homeless are presented in same way that life in ancient historical societies or civilizations in distant corners of the globe would be presented. Fire Mountain, however, was located at a site where luxury apartments now stand, near the center of Prague. The exhibition combines factual accounts, installations showing the functioning of homeless communities, textual and pictorial documentation collected by Epos 257 over the course of his several years of research.
It also, however, captures the subjective level of legends and myths associated with Fire Mountain and its inhabitants.
